King of the East synopsis: In an age of terror, where the world burned beneath the radiance of 10 suns, Yae, a legendary warrior, was summoned by Chunjae, the father of these celestial orbs. Tasked with shooting down all but one sun, Yae carried out the command. However, Hwaehwa, the mother of the suns, furious at the loss of her children, vowed to resurrect them. After a prolonged absence, Hwaehwa returns, challenging Chunjae to a game of Baduk. Accompanied by Hanbal, once Chunjae's follower, she releases a myriad of demons upon the earth, declaring them as symbols of her Baduk stones. To gather his stones, Chunjae sets out to find Dong Bangsak and entrusts Hangah Dong Gun, one of Yae's followers, to watch over him on his journey to seal these demons.
